Urban Decay Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 : A Hot Summer Essential

The weather here in LA is getting ridiculously hot, and to add fuel to the fire, my work office's air conditioner is broken. So, I decided to ditch my heavy foundation and search for something much lighter for daily wear. I'm very glad to have found the Urban Decay Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 ($32), and I just can't seem to ever put it down.

More about the product : A tinted moisturizer that provides lightweight, buildable coverage, contains SPF 20, and battles free radical damage.

This tinted moisturizer is perfect for this hot weather as it has SPF 20 and contains multi-mineral complex that battles free radical damage. It has a light coverage, so it certainly won't cover everything on the face. However, it gives a very fresh and flawless finish. And as usual, I adore the Urban Decay packaging.

Take out the stopper and release some product from the pump head, which is very convenient to use, and a full pump is more than enough for the whole face.

This tinted moisturizer creates a dewy finish with a healthy glow. Powder it on top can also gives a completely different look. It lasts all day long. However, as with many other tinted moisturizers, the shade choices are limited. With only 4 colors to choose from, getting a good match is just as difficult as staying cool in this warm weather. I am about a MAC NC20-25, and I bought Bodyguard, which is a bit dark and yellow on me.

This tinted moisturizer is extremely easy to blend and sinks right into the skin. Although the shade is a bit off for me, I have been wearing this almost everyday because it just gives me that natural yet perfect skin.

Pick it or not ?
Yes, because fresh and light make me happy in this hot summer heat.

Blogosphere Buzz : Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liners

It doesn't come as surprise that almost every beauty addicts has raved about the cult favorite Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($17, 22 shades).

These pigmented colors are extremely soft, easy to apply, and last literally 24/7. They don't budge, smear, or move at all. They truly deserve to be called the best in the industry and one of my favorite eye liners. Now, you can try these at a much lowered price. Score them during the Urban Decay Friends & Family sale (use code FNFW1) or the Sephora Beauty Insiders sale (use code BI15) going on right now. I've seen many people talked about picking a few colors (especially the 4 new colors) up during the sales, so I thought it would be really helpful to swatch these for you guys.

Blogosphere Buzz : Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette

For Tim Burton's upcoming movie, Alice in Wonderland, cosmetic brand Urban Decay teamed up with Disney to give its famous eyeshadow books a makeover. The result is the amazing and much raved Alice In Wonderland Palette ($52). This limited edition palette was released on the Urban Decay website on January 15th and was sold out within hours. For those of you who didn't get a chance to see its beauty, the gorgeous will land in Sephora soon.

Update : It is also sold out on Sephora website and in stores.

Update : You can now score this limited edition and hard to find palette in the Urban Decay Alice's Favorite Things Set ($211) for a limited time on Urban Decay website.

Open up the pop-up scene and jump into wonderland. Under the mushroom forest is a hidden drawer, where you will find 16 beautiful eye shadows, a travel size original Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($18), and two mini 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($17). If you are a collector, then some of the shadow shades may seem familiar since most of the colors in this limited edition palette is re-promotions from previous shadow books. The whole palette is imprinted with lovely movie themed details.

Majority of the shadows in this palette are very glittery and frothy, which creates a lot of full out. But the colors are absolutely amazing, and this palette is a must have for both collectors and beauty amateurs.

Urban Decay Eyelash Primer Potion : A Not Bad Extra But Not A Must

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($18) is well known for being the cult favorite for both makeup artists and beauty amateurs. The brand also has a whole line of primer potions that targets other areas other than the eyes. Recently, Sephora launched an exclusive Urban Decay set, the Box of Potion ($65), that includes some of its most famous and popular products such as the Complexion Primer Potion - Brightening ($30), Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting ($30), Eyelash Primer Potion ($20), and Lip Primer Potion ($20). I was extremely eager to try out the set because I am a big fan of the original eyeshadow primer potion.

More about the product : Wave this magic wand before your favorite mascara for lashes that appear thicker, longer, and stronger—right before your very eyes! Lashes are bolstered with the tiny fibers that band together and cling to every lash, creating extraordinarily eye-popping extensions. Results are maximized with the conditioning, fortifying, and thickening formula of Silk Protein, Panthenol, and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. Just apply Eyelash Primer Potion, let it dry, and apply your fave mascara—you won't believe your eyes!

I don't often wear eyelash primers for the simple fact that the ones I've tried either don't make any differences or for the most times, I am way to lazy to add another product to my already busy makeup routine. But since it is Urban Decay, I convinced myself that I will give it a chance to prove me wrong. I do adore Urban Decay's purple and patterned packaging. The product contains no noticeable fragrances and is easy to apply. It also does not weight down my lashes, which is another big plus for it. Unfortunately, the result does not meet my expectations. It doesn't do much in terms of lengthening or thickening my lashes. It also made my mascaras clump a bit. I would say that if you are looking for something that can help you achieve that long and amazing lashes, your best choice is probably a good mascara, which can doubles as a primer too. This will save you money and time
