Nars Orgasm Illuminator : A Newbie Superstar
Nars is not just a well known and luxury cosmetic brand. It is also the pioneer of some of the most famous and acclaimed makeup products. One of its cult favorites, Nars Orgasm Blush ($26), is the equivalent in the makeup industry as to Michel Jackson in the music world. With the popularity around the renowned blush, it is no surprise that Nars recently introduced a new member, Nars Orgasm Illuminator ($29), into the orgasm family.
More about the product : A complexion enhancer that makes skin look instantly refreshed, radiant, and glowing.
This is a multi-purpose product that can serve as a illuminator, blush, or highlighter. Thus, I also tried it out in these different was to test its full abilities.
As illuminator : Mixing this with my foundations gives the most beautiful glow to my skin. It creates a brightening finish without overwhelming glitters.
As blush : Using this alone as a cream blush is average. After blending, the product is simply not pigmented enough by itself to really create any color on the cheeks. Again, it just cast a very sheer glow.
As highlighter : This would look gorgeous as a highlighter for cheek bones on olive skins.
A lot of people compare this to the famous Nars Orgasm Blush ($26). However, I see quite a difference between the two products. The illuminator has much more peachy and golden tone than the powder blush. I do think that this color would look lovely on any skin tone as a blush shade.

A Nars Night Life Collection And Blush Haul
I went to Nordstrom a few days ago to haunt down another back up of the sold out MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator ($19.50), which I have reviewed on this blog before. Unfortunately and not to my surprise, it is also out of stock at my local MAC counter. Knowing me, you know I can not just waste a trip down to the mall, so I somehow wandered around to the Nars counter and started playing with a few shades from the Night Life Collection and some of the blushes. The next thing I know is that I walked home with a bag full.
There are currently 11 shades from this collection. Most of them comes in single eyeshadow forms, and a few have since debuted in Nars palettes. These are high pigmented eyeshadows with quite some fall outs so please be careful when using these dry.
More about the collection : Ultra velvet shades with tone on tone sparkling effects and high pay-off.
